Drywall Haiku 2

Drywall, strong, silent
You make walls look good, complete
I dance, they no see

I don’t have a lot of time today so I’m just going to give you another taste of how quickly drywall can transform a construction site. After living for weeks with open walls, it was really satisfying to see all the gaps filled in.

Though the old toilet and shower are still in the downstairs bathroom some of the drywall can be put in.

This is above where the sinks will be.

The new raised ceiling in the bathroom.

Attic opening in the master bath closet.

The walls in the closet start filling in.

A good view of the wires that come from the TV, through the bedroom into the close and then through into the living room on the other side of the wall.

The other side of the closet.

In the master bedroom.

Before

After.

In the Art Studio.

Filling in the closet.

We took out the wood flooring in the dining area because we wanted tile in that area instead. We used some of wood to fill in the closet in the art studio so it matched the floor.

We wanted the company who put in the floor originally to do the work. However, we could never get them to give us a price or commit to the work. Eventually it came to a point that where we couldn’t finish the drywall in the closet until the floor was put in. So Mr. Remodel said he would do it himself. And he did.
